Do a happy dance! You’ve arrived in Raleigh to begin a new chapter in your life. If anything deserves a wild happy dance, it’s that. So let loose with your best moves for a few minutes in private (or public, we don’t judge) to celebrate surviving the move.

Purchase tickets to see a show(s) within your first 90 days here. Don’t wait – support the arts you love and start meeting people who love them like you do. Even in this pandemic time it’s easy to engage with theater and dance in the Triangle as there are several virtual options and many different price points. (We’ve listed some options below.) Can’t afford tickets? Volunteers are always needed and appreciated.

Get connected to the scene. All of the theaters and companies listed below have social media feeds and/or websites. Follow them now and subscribe to their newsletters/mailing lists so you’re aware of what’s happening locally. If you’re a working actor or dancer, update your website/social with your new location and employment status. Put your best foot forward by having current postings that reflect your work/talent before following or friending contacts in the Triangle. Here’s an old but still pretty valid post by dancer Katie Sopoci Drake on “10 Must Do’s for Dancers in a New City” – some of the tips are valid for actors as well.
