Although this shop is in Durham, Raleigh crafters and makers are willing to make the drive to support this nonprofit’s mission “to promote creativity, environmental awareness and community through reuse.” TSE collects materials (foam, paper, fabric, zippers, buttons, test tubes, etc.) from more than 250 industries within a 100-mile radius and from individual donations. Those materials are then re-used in creative arts workshops, parties and outreach events as well as being sold in the store along with upcycled products from local artists and craftspeople.
